WHERE: Singapore Indoor Stadium
DURATION: Three hours per show
CROWD: 10,000 lightstick-wielding ELFs (Everlasting Friends, aka Suju fans) over two shows.
STAGE: A four-sided stage with runways that stretched to all four corners of the stadium, so even backbenchers can get a whiff of all 10 guys.
GUEST STARS: “Lady Gaga” and “Beyonce” as interpreted by Heechul and Shingdong – in drag! It was a riot when they lip-synced to ‘Poker Face’.
NO OF CHINESE WORDS ATTEMPTED: An entire Mandarin song: A cover of Wan Fang’s ‘Endless Love’ perfectly-executed by Kyuhyun.
TEARY MOMENT: When we thought we’d been transported to a memorial service of sorts. Suju dedicated a sombre video and live performance tribute to ex-member Kangin. There was even a soft-focus holographic image of him. Nope, the guy’s not dead – he’s just serving his National Service.
ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: 4 and the half star – So this is why K-pop groups need twice as many members as regular pop groups. Boybanders flying in the air, a shirtless heartthrob, a repertiore of songs in three languages, and grown-ups dressed as veggie mascots. Are we in Disneyland?
